The DJI Mavic Pro has just stunned the world, small as a water bottle and more intelligent than any other drone. The Mavic pro has so many features you wouldn't believe it, with the new ROF (Range of flight) boosted up to 4.3 miles (7km) you can now go 1.3 miles further than before and still keep a strong signal. Another great feature would be the sport mode, the Mavic can reach up to 40mph (64kmh) which is incredible, i would say that's close to an FPV Racer, but you can still have that immersive FPV Flying experience with the new DJI Goggles. I forgot to mention, the Mavic allows 27 minutes in the air with optimal conditions, the longer the air time the more time you have to capture those stunning video/photos that you want with its 4K camera, yes i said 4K camera, i know its crazy what the Mavic can do!
All the amazing features that were packed into the Mavic Pros compact frame are still there, plus more great features have been added to the Mavic Pro Platinum to make it even better.
It comes with an improved flight time of up to 30mins and a 60% decrease in noise making for a quieter and more enjoyable flight experience. This has been accomplished by the new style 8331 propellers and new FOC sinusoidal driver ESCs
As well as having all the general features you now have all the intelligent features as well, that includes ActiveTrack, Tapfly, Obstacle avoidance, vision positioning and level headed. The Active Track allows you to carry on doing whatever you're doing and the Mavic will track your movement and intelligently avoid obstacles while performing this command, this will allow you to get the highest quality of video possible and you don't even have to control the drone. The Obstacle Avoidance combined with sensor redundancy increases flight safety and reliability.
Below there are two Graphs that show you the noise compared to the non platinum Mavic Pro, as you can see the Platinum version is more silent than the standard version, giving the platinum the stealthy approch. This is all down to the brand new ESCs and Propellers, the aerodynamic design of the 8331 propeller provides the aircraft with noise reduction and extra stability.
Flight Control systems are critical to stable flight and they need data from different sensors on the Mavic to function. The Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) and the compass are the most important ones, yet they are also the most vulnerable to interference. The IMU acquires the angle, speed, and acceleration of the Mavic.
